I'm rich!

So my company had a Willy Wonka-esque giveaway, where the words "You've Won!" were printed on the inside of some candy bars. And lucky me, I won. So now I have a $50 American Express Gift card to spend on whatever I want. Problem is, I don't know what I want. Any suggestions?

A few guidelines for the suggestions:

  1. The more impractical, the better. No socks, sweaters or heating bill payments (although the sweater would come in handy if I don't use the money for the heating bill).
  2. When I run the suggestion past my wife, she can't say "Oh, that's a good idea." I'm looking for more of a "Why would we need that?" type of response. This also rules out any suggestions from my wife (sorry, Amy), unless she can suspend her own practicality and intelligence.
  3. No putting it toward something, and paying for the rest myself. So total value <= $50.
  4. The closer to $50, the better. I don't want to have an awkward amount left on the card, unless I can buy another complete item with it (see rule #3).
  5. Extra points for things I have to plug in
  6. I swear, if anyone mentions Cornhole Bags, I will track you down and beat the tar out of you.
So bring on the suggestions.

Laura and I think you and Amy would look great in matching Red Sox American Leagu Champions t-shirts. They are 19.99 a piece, so after tax and shipping you should be at $50. So wear them with pride!!!!
To make it easy for your here is a link to the redsox shop.

How about a USB powered mini-aquarium?

I think you should get a shrubbery. One's that's nice, but not too expensive.

Or get yourself one of dem crazy Oompa Loompas- market value= 50 big ones.

Wow, I didn't know a USB powered aquarium existed. I had to look it up: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=00-703-102&depa=0

But I think you should get one of those LCD screens that fits into your 5.25 drive bay (or 3.5 if too expensive).

I should be a personal shopper. I'd be good at spending other people's money on things I want:

Ooooo, it has a laser, it must be better :)

You can buy 12 of the yellow ribbons so that you can arrange them as a smiley face on the back of your car.

That's a 12-pointer!
