Holidays are for the birds...

Holiday season is upon us, the time of family togetherness, sharing, and most importantly: End-of-year bonuses. Amy's new at her job this year, so we weren't sure what to expect. The place isn't exactly thriving, so we weren't expecting much. And that's pretty much what we got:

Not the actual turkey, but you get the idea.

An eight-pound frozen bird, presumably for us to cook and eat (since I don't know what else to do with it). I've never heard of a company that gives poultry as a bonus (butcher shops aside), but I guess there's a first for everything.

So now we're hoping my company gives me some stuffing and mashed potatoes.

Another entry to the list of Bonuses that Suck: last year at ND my boss gave everyone in the office Christmas cards...with a photo of her kids in it.

That was all we got.

WOW! I thought the turkey was bad, but a card of your bosses kids on it is the worst thing I have ever heard!!!!

When is the turkey dinner?
Have you ever heard of beer can chicken? Stuff a full can of beer up the bit of a marinated chicken and cook. Well we could do a mini-keg turkey.

Let's go to the store and get a Becks mini keg
and stuff it up the Turkey's butt and cook.

And you don't open the beer? I don't get it.

No silly, you open the top of the beer and as you cook it the beer evaporates into the chicken ore in this case the Turkey.
