Catching a Wave

This morning we got our first Prius wave. I was dropping Amy off at work when we passed an identical Prius going the opposite way. I gave a small wave -- my glove never even really left the steering wheel -- and the woman driving the other Prius gave us a big smile and wave. Amy and I burst out laughing, since we weren't sure she'd wave back at all, nevermind so enthusistically.

It was a nice way to start out the day.

Furthering my good day, I just got a call from the American Lung Association saying they'd stop by to pick up the Saturn sometime this week. Soon the Prius (which could really use a name) will have its own spot.

"We're Prius drivers. We're a special breed."
Larry David's explanation of why another Prius driver should have waved back at him.

Are you sure she wasn't trying to flag you down to ask for directions? You know how those navigation systems are.

2 questions Do Prius owners have a secret handshake and what kind of gloves where you wearing? Are they special Prius driving gloves made from hemp or recycled isotoners?

as far as a name... how about Audrey II... another never ending project!

Perhaps Penny might be a good name. She cost a pretty penny but should save you a pretty penny.

I've had terrible success with the "Prius Wave". I've gotten a total of ONE, from an older couple in a Driftwood '05 with a Florida State Senator license plate.

I absolutely died when I saw that episode of CYE, by the way ("Wandering Bear", I believe).

Oh well.
