A Baby Story, Part II

Here's a timeline of what's going on with Baby #2's big day. For those following along at home, I'll try to keep this up-to-date:

08:30am Arrived at the hospital
09:00am Started some medication to get contractions going
09:30am Relaxing, waiting for the medication to kick in
10:45am Still waiting...
11:00am Water broke! Still no contractions
11:45am Walking around
01:00pm All quiet
01:20pm Exam. 3.5cm dilated, for those in the know
02:30pm Contractions every 3 min. Manageable
04:30pm Epidural
06:00pm Exam. Only 4cm dilated, Dr. says time for pitocin
08:00pm Upped the pitocin. Contractions still coming, but sporadically.
08:15pm 5cm
09:00pm Amy's sleeping, Kevin is playing video games (thanks, Scott!)
10:15pm 9cm. May start pushing soon
10:40pm Baby!

Go Amy Go!

Good luck to you and the family, Kevin.

I leave SFO in a few minutes and will check in arriving at IAD.

My procrastinating at work seems so much more meaningful today. Can't wait to meet my little niece. Although I'm still secretly hoping for a baby tiger.

We're so excited for you! I'm supposed to be writing a final paper, but instead I'm glued to Kevin's website and my cell phone! Will update the girls as soon as they get back from school.

It would be a lovely day to have a baby...!

Darn, your uterus must be more fun than Disneyland and that little one is saying, "one more ride, pleeeeeease!"

Hang in there, Ames.

If your kid is born after midnight we'll have the same birthday. You owe me cake for that.
